Chef Aristóteles Breña, Ambassador of Peruvian gastronomy
Aristóteles Breña is a self-taught Peruvian chef who embodies perseverance and culinary success. Born in Huancavelica, Peru, he started humbly selling sweets and cigarettes at the Monterrico racetrack, and even working in construction, before finding his true calling.
Upon arriving in Panama, he started washing dishes in a family restaurant; his talent and dedication were such that in just six months he became head chef at only 22 years old.
Today, Chef Breña owns and runs the Nazca 21 restaurant – with three locations in Panama – renowned for bringing authentic Peruvian flavors to the country. His journey, from selling sweets in Lima to delighting personalities like Rubén Blades in Panama, has established him as an ambassador of Peruvian cuisine abroad.
